Peng Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Technology at Peking University and a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on the learning sciences, game-based learning, and the application of virtual technologies such as augmented and virtual reality in education. She has published more than ten academic papers in international and Chinese journals, including British Journal of Educational Technology, Educational Technology Research & Development, and Asia Pacific Journal of Education. She has also contributed book chapters on learning sciences and data analytics. Dr. Zhang’s recent work explores how AI-driven and game-based virtual inquiry environments foster students’ scientific understanding and motivation, as well as how teachers engage with learning sciences in practice. She has received several national and university honors and participated in multiple research projects funded by the Ministry of Education of China.
