Dr. Wu Tengteng is currently a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Education Technology at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University, under the supervision of Professor Junjie Shang. Her research focuses on the innovative integration of Artificial Intelligence in Art Education and the practice of Learning Sciences within music and arts pedagogy.
With a professional background in Erhu performance, Dr. Wu holds a Ph.D. and has served as the former Principal Erhu Artist of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music Chinese Orchestra, a Talented Professional introduced to Xihua University, Director of the Sichuan Women and Children's Art Center, and Vice Principal of Chengdu No.7 Yucai Affiliated Elementary School (East Lake Campus). A disciple of the renowned Erhu master and educator Professor Liang Yunjiang, she has released solo albums such as "Rainy Night" and "Soaring" and represented China in cultural exchange tours to countries including Austria, Switzerland, Cuba, the USA, Italy, Germany, and Costa Rica.
An acclaimed performer, Dr. Wu has won top prizes at international competitions such as the Seoul International Erhu Competition and the Hong Kong International "College Cup" Erhu Finals, and was selected for the National Arts Fund's Erhu Training Program. She has performed at prestigious venues including the National Centre for the Performing Arts and Beijing Concert Hall.
Through her "Strings Beyond Horizons" world tour, Dr. Wu uses the bow as a universal language, continuing the contemporary legacy of Chinese music. At PKU, she investigates how AI and learning science can transform artistic training, foster creativity, and enhance cross-cultural engagement in 21st-century education.
