Dr. Miao Rong holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Software from Peking University, as well as a PhD in Public Administration from Peking University, boasting interdisciplinary training and expertise. Her primary research areas include learning science, online education, the role and impact of technology on teaching, and educational technology competencies.
Dr Miao has participated in the design and development of the Founder Electronic Typesetting System, and in the process of formulating international standards for Chinese character encoding. The research topics I have led or participated in focus on the impact of technology on education, often from the perspective of learners. Currently, I have a strong interest in issues such as learners' motivation and influencing factors in the learning process.
