CAO Jie

Visiting Scholar

 

 

   Dr. Jie Cao is a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University, supervised by Professor Junjie Shang, and a member of the Lab of Learning Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Education, Principal Leadership, Teacher Learning, Learning Sciences, and School Improvement. She has published in Chinese and international journals and serves as a peer reviewer for SSCI-indexed journals. She has authored a monograph, contributed chapters to edited collections, and co-edited academic volumes.

With a sustained commitment to integrating theory and practice, Dr. Jie Cao is an Associate Professor at the Beijing Institute of Education. She has led and contributed to a range of principal training programs and has developed over ten specialized courses to support principals’ professional growth, including one that was incorporated into Beijing’s compulsory public training curriculum for primary and secondary educators during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

Her current research focuses on exploring how principals can lead schools to success in the era of rapid AI development and how AI technologies can empower principal training practices.
