Lei Cai is a Ph.D. student in Educational Technology, Class of 2026.

His research interests lie at the intersection of learning sciences and human-computer interaction, with a particular focus on immersive learning and learner interactions with emerging technologies. His previous research has explored language learning and interaction experiences in virtual reality environments.

Looking ahead, he hopes to further investigate how emerging intelligent technologies can support learning processes and experiences, particularly how AI can be appropriately integrated into language learning and immersive learning. His research seeks to explore how the enjoyment and convenience offered by emerging technologies can be leveraged while maintaining effective learning outcomes and positive attitudes toward learning.
